I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to accommodate different needs and preferences. In-person sessions are conducted at my office, while virtual therapy is available for clients located in Louisiana and Arkansas, where I am licensed to practice. Neurofeedback and intensives are only available in person.ext goes here

Most insurance plans do not cover neurofeedback, as it is considered an emerging treatment. Neurofeedback is a cash-pay service, but many clients find it to be a worthwhile investment in their well-being. If you have questions about payment options, feel free to reach out.

Yes! Neurofeedback can be a powerful complement to traditional therapy, and you do not need to switch therapists to benefit from it. Since neurofeedback works at the foundational level of brain function, it can help regulate the nervous system, making it easier for you to engage in talk therapy and process emotions effectively.
Many clients who experience nervous system dysregulation or emotional overwhelm find that neurofeedback helps them stay calmer and more present in therapy. I am also happy to coordinate with your existing therapist if that would be helpful in supporting your overall treatment plan.

Yes! Many clients come to me for an intensive specifically to focus on trauma work, even if they already have a regular therapist. If your current therapist does not specialize in trauma, an intensive can provide targeted healing while you continue working with your therapist on other areas of your life. I am happy to coordinate with your therapist if needed.

I am in-network with United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna. If you have a plan with one of these providers, I can help determine what your benefits cover.
For all other insurance providers, I am considered an out-of-network provider. I do not bill directly, but I can provide a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many out-of-network plans will reimburse a portion of your session cost after you meet your deductible.
-
If you have United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Aetna, I will attempt to verify your benefits and can usually give you a good idea of what your sessions will cost. However, for a definitive answer, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly.
To check your benefits, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Is Cary Brown, LPC in-network with my plan?
What is my cost for a therapy session? (Costs depend on whether you have a copayment, a coinsurance percentage, or need to meet a deductible first.)
If you have an out-of-network plan, ask:
What is my reimbursement rate for an out-of-network provider?
What is my deductible, and how much has been met?
Insurance companies are typically more responsive to you as the customer than they are to me as the provider, so reaching out directly will give you the clearest picture of your coverage.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduled appointments. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. For intensives, a longer notice period may be required due to the time commitment involved.
